Using the grandeur of space to teach hands-on, standards-based lessons to teachers to impact the next generation |

Air Rocket Launcher If you have worked with the TeachSpace staff very much, you have seen some lessons on how to use air rockets in a math or science lesson. We have given the plans away on how to build your own rocket launcher, however, we have been told that it would be better if you could buy one ready made. Well, this summer, we started to make some for gifts to teachers and we made some extras that we would like to sell. You will have to supply your own air pump or small compressor. The units are almost indestructible and for the price of about 3 Estes model rockets, you can launch 1,000's of paper air rockets. A great way to entertain parents for a family science night too. The price for an air rocket launcher is $31 plus $7 for shipping. However, many of you live very close to Terry Sue (Lynchburg) or Billy (Shelbyville), and you could save the shipping charges by just dropping by the house or we might even bring it to you. The air rocket launcher comes with a brass, 1/4 inch adapter ready for a standard 1/4 inch screw-on connection from an air compressor hose. We also toss in a paper rocket pipe forms and instructions on how to build your own paper rocket fleet. Before you send a check - please email Billy at bhix@mscc.edu and check on availability!! Supplies are limited! When you email, we will tell you if we have any in stock and also where to send the check to.
